Two weeks ago I went into my fridge for some fresh herbs. All I could scrounge up was some wilted basil and dried up thyme. Tired of buying fresh herbs at the grocery just to have them rot away before using them up, I decided to give myself a new hobby. My grandpa grew every vegetable I could imagine, and a few I had never heard of, while I was growing up. My mom also has quite the green thumb, so I decided to find out if the farmer gene made it to me. My next trip to the grocery, I came across some small potted herbs. I chose peppermint, basil, parsley, and thyme. I also grabbed some seeds for green leaf lettuce and jalapeno peppers just for kicks.
